about

If all war movies had an official rapper it would be June Marx. The infamous Iraq Veteran/Artist is a well recognized name on
the independent hip hop scene and has consistently released quality albums in the last few years. Going international with his
new release SPECTRE, Marx teams up with producer Kure (Perth, Australia) and the duo will be releasing their new project
via Greater Force Records (est.1997). Kure's last release "The Gauntlet" featured Marx, and discovering that their individual
styles mesh rather well, decided to collaborate on a full length album. Perhaps their greatest achievement on this project lies
in the perfect chemistry and construction of the tracks. Kure's rugged yet cohesive instrumentals combined with Marx's distinct
voice and well executed rhymes produces a gem of an album. Rapping with a high level of clarity and buttery smooth delivery, Marx's signature Modern Warfare style is perfectly paired
with Australian producer Kure's hard hitting soundscapes. Everything from Wolfenstein to The Punisher to Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder is referenced in this record, Marx is at his sharpest mental state and it is evident in the complexity and intricacy of his wordplay. Complete with
malleable cadences and unorthodox lyricism accompanied by carefully selected instrumentals, SPECTRE will satisfy the most
hardcore hip hop hungry fans and hold long time listeners over until the next release.
